As of today, the number of people with coronavirus worldwide stands at almost 930,000 (according to John Hopkins University data) — a few days ago, it was half that. The worldwide death count is more than 46,000, with some countries including the United States, Italy and China the hardest hit.
Hundreds of millions of people worldwide are staying at home as a way to “flatten the curve” and stop the spread of a new virus that leads to COVID-19.
As we all adjust to what’s being called “the new normal,” will national political leadership be able to cope? (So far, especially when it comes to Donald J. Trump, the answer is “not really.”) In today’s podcast, we’ll discuss this, what U.S. Attorney General William Barr is proposing and the Keystone Pipeline.
